Plan of Reixac

The proposal presented is written with the intention of ordering and regulating an area of large dimensions, with very unique and unique characteristics in the metropolitan region of Barcelona, which is given both by the situation and characteristics of the area. It is a point of ecological connectivity, a space with unique rainfed agriculture on a metropolitan scale and a real potential as a natural area of proximity for social use by the surrounding municipalities and as a large metropolitan park in Vallès.

At the same time, and in attention to the infrastructures, the industrial sectors of the environment and the needs of different companies to establish themselves in areas like this of the sector, the Plan de Reixac is also configured as a very optimal space to be able to implement economic activity in its perimeter.

All in all, the PDU proposal that is being drafted is structured on the basis of 3 main axes, which at the moment justify the main objectives of the proposal:
– The protection of the natural environment, the ecological connectivity and the environmental values of the area.
– The desirability of the reduction of land intended for Metropolitan Equipment in the area.
– The need and suitability of Economic Activity that completes the perimeter.
